IN MY COLLECTION:

Tiefflug! is a really fat trash pearl from the year 2000 from Germany. Unfortunately not a good one, because the name says it all. There was neither an OGDB nor a MobyGames entry for the game. No YouTube videos etc. Only on Amazon there was a comment about the game, and that it is big crap.

The gameplay and graphics are reminiscent of Magic Carpet. The packaging advertises that you don't need a 3D accelerator card to play. That's right, because the 3D environment is shown in the software render. By and large, the game looks like an unfinished Engine Tech demo. That it was actually published in a box is relatively surprising.

DETAILS:

Name: Tiefflug!

Publisher: IncaGold

Developer: Bluemoon Interactive, Ltd.

Genre: 3D Action Flug Shooter

Medium: CD-ROM

Plattform: Windows 95

Release Year: 2000

IN MY COLLECTION:

"FX Fighter" is a DOS 3D fighting game in the style of "Virtua Fighter" which was sold in a bundle with 3D cards like the "Diamond Monster". Originally a port for Nintendo's "SNES" was also supposed to appear and be equipped with the Super FX chip, but was then dropped in favor of "Killer Instinct".

The game uses the "BRender" engine. Rumor has it that "FX Fighter" started out as a tech demo for the engine and then gradually expanded into a full-fledged game.

A small comic for the prehistory is included with the limited edition and was published by Wildstorm Productions at the time. The comic could also be viewed / downloaded from the publisher's website.

A year later it was published again as "FX Fighter Turbo" for Windows. This version should contain two more characters and also "Fatality" moves.

DETAILS:

Name: FX Fighter

Genre: 3D Fighting Game

Medium: CD-ROM

Plattform: MS-DOS

Release Year: 1995

"XS" is a DOS ARENA SHOOTER!Yes you read that right.Whoever thinks the "Quake III Arena" or "Unreal Tournament" were the first representatives of their kind is wrong."XS" from 1996 brought everything that these games then only perfected (bots, arenas, etc.).The graphics are of course much less advanced, but it has a certain charm. But the cool thing is actually the fighters. As in "Quake III Arena" you have put a lot of effort into the characters and designed them very individually.

If I read correctly, the game is still indexed today in germany!

The website for the game can still be visited with the WayBack machine:
